I Don’t Sweat – I Sparkle!
I don’t sweat – I sparkle!!! Ok…that may not be true…I do sweat (especially during my cool down) but I like to think of it as sparkling, because I make the rules in my world! 😉 To get real, we’re a family that believes in being healthy and staying fit. Our kiddos know that we workout, and they like to join in when we get our sweat on at home (case and point the photos in this post). Working out at home is a great way to set a good example for kiddos so they see active adults who are teaching by doing.
Being a busy #momboss, I tend to use my athletic gear for workouts as well as running errands and chasing my kids! That means my gear needs to be comfortable and look cute so I don’t feel frumpy. Workout gear needs to be functional – because it is part of my everyday “uniform” as I knock things off of my To-Do list. I want to like them, and even occasionally purchase cute ones, but I never end up wearing them! Being true to myself and my personal style, I made sure to “dislike” shorts so that the stylist will never include shorts in my box (unless I change my preferences). My husband is NOT a shopper – so he did the style quiz and let the stylist do all the heavy lifting. That was a BIG win for him! The box arrived, he tried on his items, picked the ones he liked, and put the rest in the prepaid shipping envelop for a quick return. Easy peasy!
I also want to note that the stylist picked some shorts out for him that he was convinced he wasn’t going to like – but ended up LOVING! He tried them on and knew he would get a lot of use out of them. He obviously kept them and used them in our workout (see photo at the top of the post). To me, that is a win because he ended up loving something he would have never picked out for himself. Great job stylists!
Personally, I love to shop, but my time is limited and precious. I took the style quiz and then scrolled through to request specific items that I wanted to try out in person. The entire outfit above (leggings, tank and sports bra) were all things I requested – and decided to keep! The win for me, as someone who loves to shop, is the convenience of it all. I picked a couple of things I knew I wanted to try, the stylist was the expert who pulled together a couple of other items based on knowing my preferences, and everything was sent to my home! No leg work for this busy lady!
I kept 4 items from my box and sent back 3 in the mail. No dealing with driving to the store, keeping my receipts, waiting in lines, etc. Not to mention I got to try it all on from the comfort of my own home – before actually buying anything!
