Happy almost Halloween! Are you excited to dress up? My kiddos LOVE to play dress-up all year round, so Halloween is an extra special treat because we go all out as a family! The thing is, this year has been a little crazy for us. If you aren’t ready for Halloween, don’t worry! You aren’t alone. I’ve pulled together several costumes for the whole family – many that can ship same day or by the 31st.
Not all sizes are available for super fast shipping – so make sure to pay attention to the sizes and availability while you look at the options below. Also, look at the shipping options in the checkout screen – and if you have PRIME – you may even have an advantage. Homemade applesauce is my new Fall favorite! I NEVER thought I would make my own applesauce. EVER! Why would I bother when I can get organic unsweetened applesauce for under $3 at the store? If you’re asking yourself the same question…I’ll tell you why! Because it is so flippin’ good! It tastes NOTHING like the jarred stuff!
Let’s be real, I always have a jar of applesauce on hand. The kids love it, it’s a healthy snack in a pinch, works great when they have a tummy ache…the list goes on. That being said, making my own has become a total favorite because it tastes like apple pie filling, the house smells amazing, it’s super healthy and delicious, and the kids actually get to SEE what goes into the applesauce that they love so much! So many wins! Did I mention that it makes your entire house smell like FALL!?! Keep scrolling for my recipe, lots of photos, and tools that I love to use for recipes like this. Ingredients
- 8 Organic apples (I used 4 fuji and 4 gala)
- 1 Cup water
- 1/2 Lemon – juiced and seeded
- 1/2 Tsp apple pie (or pumpkin pie) spice
Instructions
- Wash your apples! Yes, you are peeling them, but if you or your kids like to snack on the peel, wash them before you get started. My kids sit and wait for the peels to munch on while they watch me peel all the apples. Yummy and so cute!
- Peel your apples. Do this in any way you like. I use a small knife to peel, though I have friends who have apple peelers, veggie peelers, or other preferred methods. Have at it and peel all 8 apples!
- Core and slice your apples. I tend to slice them into the same size I would if I was going to eat apple slices. Not too big and not too small. They are about to cook down anyways!
- Put all of your apple slices into the Instant Pot. Add water, lemon juice and spices.
- Use a large spoon to mix the apples until everything is pretty evenly coated with the water and spices (only takes a few seconds).
- Close the lid and ensure the valve is closed. Pressure cook for 8 minutes on manual.
- When the timer goes off, turn the pot off and let the pressure slow release for about 5 minutes. If there is any pressure left, manually release it and open the lid.
- The apples will look like they are in tact, but they are VERY mushy! Use your big spoon to mush up the apples a bit. It has wonderful texture and almost tastes like pie filling without any added sugar!
- That’s it! Time to eat!
Let it cool a little bit and enjoy warm (my favorite) or cool it off in the fridge and enjoy cold! It keeps well for a couple of days in an airtight container in the fridge. This is a favorite treat in our house so it doesn’t tend to last long! 😉

Why do studded shoes make everything so much better? Today is a very quick share because these studded mules are under $25 and so cute – and sharing is caring! They elevate casual outfits and make them so chic (my shirt said so – so it must be true)! 🙂
The skinny on my mules is you MUST size up! I’m between a 6.5 and 7 in shoes, and I ordered these in a 7.5. The material is a little stiff, so by sizing up they are way more comfortable! Easy fix, huh? I had them on while I ran errands, dropped off my kids at school, took my dogs for a walk, etc. and was totally comfortable! Sizing up gives you the extra room these need to be comfortable and functional. They are so worth it! They look a lot more expensive than they are, the studs are perfect, they are super on trend, and I get so many compliments whenever I wear them. I also included my sweater (which is oversized and so cozy) and my exact “chic” shirt which I love because the arm holes are a little large which give it a very relaxed feel (a bralette works perfect underneath).

Happy Monday! Anyone else exhausted from a crazy busy weekend? This look is super comfy and works for running errands or lounging around the house. My leggings are sort of a cotton yoga pant in my opinion. They are $14 of pure comfort, and they have a hidden pocket for a locker key, change, or other items you need to stash away. My tank is the sam as the one in the image above (just dressed down) and is under $3 right now in several sizes (it runs large so size down for a more fitted look). My fuzzy slippers are my absolute faves and I am about to order a new pair because I wear them so much! 🙂 My gold drop hoop earrings are under $8 and are a perfect staple, especially if you want something gold to go with anything!
My jacket is under $40 and comes in this camo print and 3 other solid Fall colors. It’s comfy and I would say it fits true to size. I sized up from an XS to a S because I like to layer sweaters under my jacket – and I like a looser fit. It’s great quality, the perfect shade of green for Fall, comfy, and mid weight. It also has a super cute hood, great pockets, and you can cinch the waist!
I get asked about these shoes all the time – and they are such a deal! They have an interesting look that jazzes up black flats, they are comfy (if between sizes I would go up), and they are under $33.They also come in 4 colors – I have the black and cognac (so in love)!
The jeans are beyond comfortable and on total repeat right now. They have perfect distressing, are more of a loose fit, wash well, and are under $40. They fit like a dream – don’t get scared of the sizing because they fit large. I sized down and they are still loose fit – which is what I wanted.
My hat is $12.99 and I love that it looks super stylish but also covers my unwashed – busy mom – no time to deal with it – hair! Haha!
This camo top runs large (more of a tunic top) which is what I wanted. It has a feminine neckline but is not revealing. It’s great for running errands, being comfy around the house, chasing kiddos, and more. I love that it’s comfy enough to bop around in, but looks nice enough to get things done out and about. Happy Fall! I love a good cocktail – and a crowd pleaser that works well for parties is Sangria! I call this my “Fall” for Me Sangria – and it is so yummy! All the flavors of Fall in a pitcher – ready for your next gathering! This works well for brunch with friends, a Friendsgiving cocktail to share, or a Fall BBQ with the fam. Pouring this easy drink over ice and into mason jars is so perfect for Fall – and everyone will love it! So easy and you can even add different Fall flavors to make it your own! Ingredients
- 1 Bottle white wine
- 2 Bottles ginger beer
- 2 Cups unfiltered apple cider (not apple juice)
- 2 Ripe lemons
- 1 Ripe orange
- 1 Pear
- 3 Apples (granny smith and honey crisp are best for sangria. Pick a variety for the colors and taste)
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Prepare your fruit. Dice your apples and pear into small bites. Slice your orange and 1 of the lemons into thin slices and then cut them in half.
- Fill your large pitcher with all of the fruit.
- Top the fruit with the wine, ginger beer, apple cider, and juice of your other lemon (make sure to take out the seeds).
- Add the cinnamon stick and give the pitcher a good stir.
- Pour in glasses over ice (skip ice in the pitcher – it melts and waters it down).
- Enjoy!
Leopard print can be intimidating, but it’s a fun trend that should be embraced! Truthfully, I look at it as a neutral, and love it! To make leopard prints more approachable, add them to your favorite black staples from your closet. I chose my favorite snap button skirt from last season, a denim moto jacket, floppy felt hat, and booties. Keep scrolling to see the same top and skirt, but in two different looks. Pumpkin Spice is everywhere right now! I wanted to very quickly share this cardigan because it is lightweight, the right length, and such a pretty Pumpkin Spice color. It’s also under $23 – and comes in other lovely colors. I have the same one in grey and cream, and love them. The tank is on sale for $4 (yes you read that right) and is perfect for under sweaters this season. I get super annoyed when my t-shirts bunch under cardigans, so this tank is absolutely perfect! I have it in black as well. It runs big so get your normal size if you want it to fit a little loose, or size down for a more fitted look.
